"Monday Must Have" this week! 5.23.11

Our "Monday Must Have" this week is a knit bohemian vest. I chose this piece because of all the different things you can pair it with. Plus, it's easy to throw on, it provides coverage over something that may be too tight and clingy and it can instantly change the look of any outfit.




In the pictures above, I have it paired with a plain white tank and jeans. I added a long fringe necklace and bracelet (pictured below) to dress it up a bit more. You could wear flip flops to wedges to heels depending on where you are going.




Next, I left the jeans on and paired it with a tie dyed olive colored tank. Just the tank alone is a very casual look but adding the vest makes it a bit more pulled together. I added a Scarlet Garnet necklace that has a beautiful red stone for a touch of color.





I love this paired with shorts! Especially when the shorts have a belt or detail at the top of them where you want to tuck your shirt in for it to show. I hate my mid section (I know I say this over and over again but its true...and I also hear it in the store almost everyday when someone is trying on something) so I hate to tuck something in. But I also love these new shorts we have in. So I wore the white tank and put the vest over it so I could tuck it in to the shorts and hide my sides and back. Super cute summer outfit. I am wearing the medium size in the shorts (I am usually a size 6 in things).







A quick comment on these wrap bracelets...we've had these bracelets in store now for about a month or so. They are made by women in Thailand and a portion of the profits go back to them. I LOVE these bracelets. They scream summer and add color to any outfit. Add them to tops, T shirts and dresses.

The last pairing that I put together is with a dress we've had in store for a couple weeks. We do only have 2 mediums left in this dress. If you like a lot of sparkle and glitz then all you will need is the dress. However, if you aren't into all of that glitz but like a little bit (especially since the dress is so cute), pair it with this vest to give it a different vibe and look.

"Monday Must Have" outfit (or pant) this week! 5.16.11

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit this week is all about a great pair of white pants. I feel that everyone needs to embrace the white pant. It is a super easy way to look polished and pulled together for a variety of events without any effort or discomfort. Most people will always go straight to their jeans when they need something fast or easy but when you are going somewhere where you need a little more than just jeans (a shower, a graduation party, a luncheon meeting, a night out or even just work), go with the white pant!

We have brought in a wide leg linen white pant for this summer. It fits great through the waist and then loose down through the leg. It is very light weight with a liner just around the top so it is much cooler than a jean. I paired it with heels in this picture but I would go with a sandal or a wedge too.







Another great benefit of the white pant it that you can pretty much pair it with anything on top. From a jacket for the spring to a tank top in the summer. We have paired the pants with a variety of different tops that are all in store right now.






You really can put even a simple tank or top with these pants, add some jewelry or a scarf plus shoes and a handbag and you will instantly look ready to go and polished. I have a 2 year old and I am always looking for something quick and easy without throwing on jeans and will take me 2 minutes to put on and get out the door.

Below is my favorite pairing. This top is a blouse in front with an open back. You can also turn it around and wear it open in front for another look. Because of all the bright colors on front, the white pant is a nice balance for the bottom.

Pants come in small, medium and large. I usually wear a size 6 and I am wearing the medium. I would guess that the large size would fit an 8/10 and the small would be more of a 2/4. I am about 5'5'' tall and the length was perfect on me with heels.

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit - May 9, 2011

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit is this fun and pretty green dress. Pleated all the way down with a tie that pulls it in at the waist. With all the weddings, graduations and parties this spring and summer - we think this is the perfect dress to have in your closet.



The great thing about this dress is all the different ways you can style it. In the picture below, we've added a light cream T-shirt overlay (this piece actually comes with the dress!!). This gives it more of a trendier casual look.



This next picture we've added a light linen jacket that we've had in the store. Especially for these spring nights, it is so nice to have a jacket to throw on if needed. Or if you are looking for some more coverage of your arms, leave the jacket open and your set.




We love to play with different accessories! Especially with a classic pleated one color dress - there are so many options. Here are a couple examples...the first one we added a thin brown belt with a chunky necklace. I think this gives it more of a casual feel. This dress is very girly and adding these makes it less frilly. The second picture we added a double wrap gold skinny belt with a triple layered necklace. I picture this with some gold strappy sandals as well.




I am wearing the medium size dress and I am usually a size 6. I am also wearing the medium jacket and the M/L in the belts. I probably could have gone with the S/M in the double wrap gold one though (this one fits big). I have added several other pictures below of the outfit on the mannequin. The mannequins always wear our small sizes in everything so if you are smaller and more petite- this will give you an idea of what everything looks like. We guess them to be a size 0 - 2. This dress is great for many sizes and shapes because of the one color and the different ways to accentuate the middle.

Our first "MONDAY MUST HAVE" outfit

Every Monday we will post an outfit to our facebook page. This entire outfit will be available for purchase right from facebook. Each entire outfit will be 15% off (meaning you have to purchase at least 4 items that make up the outfit in order to receive the 15% off)!! We will only have a limited number of outfits available, however, individual pieces from the outfit are also available to purchase at its regular price. I will call you to take your credit card # and then get everything shipped out! There will be a flat $8 shipping fee added. First come, first serve- the first emails I receive will get the outfit (plus their choices of sizes and colors).

RETURN POLICY: We do not do any returns. We will do an exchange or issue store credit. Store credit does not expire. All exchanges or store credit have to be within 14 days of purchase and with a receipt and tags attached. Shipping costs are not refunded.

Our first "Monday Must Have" outfit is pictured below (we have only 2 outfits available in this one - one with yellow scarf and earrings and one with pinkish/ red scarf and earrings):



As listed on facebook, we are showing this super cool sheer black maxi skirt, a long white slip and a scarf (We also have black slips that would be great with this too). Add the yellow earrings and you have a great outfit. The pictures on facebook give you a much better view of how the maxi skirt really looks.





First off, please excuse my extremely pale skin, it is not summer yet and I have NO color. I am wearing the medium size skirt and the small white slip. I am usually a size 6 in most things.

I do not like anything that hugs my waistline because I don't have much of a waist so I paired it with one of our stretchy razor back tanks instead of the slip (shown below) and a pair of black leggings. It is really hard to see the black leggings from the picture but if you are wanting more coverage, this is a great option instead of the shorter slip that shows more of your legs.




If you haven't tried one of our stretchy razor back tanks, I would highly recommend them! They suck you in at all the right places and are great alone or under tons of different things. We have them in black, white and nude and they are each $28. Our leggings are fabulous as well and we carry them in black and grey, each $36. This skirt would look great with any colored legging underneath!

For even more of a boho flowy look, I added this great white V- neck tunic top.






The detail of the V- neck is shown much better in the picture above. I am wearing the size small here. The length of this top would also allow you to wear it with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans. The top is $76.

As far as shoes go with this outfit, I would pair it with some strappy gold flat sandals if I was wearing the red/ pink earring with the gold detail. If I was going with the yellow earring (that has silver detail instead of gold), I would do a gladiator sandal that has both gold and silver. A great wedge sandal would be perfect with this skirt as well.
