Our "Monday Must Have" outfits for the 4th of July

I decided to do a red, white and blue theme this week since the 4th of July is next week. This was extremely easy to do since blue is a huge color this summer, white is always great this time of year and we have tons of reds and corals in store. Whether you want to throw on something casual or dress it up a bit more- we have both!

First one is this great romper. Very lightweight and the shorts are not too short (always hard to find with rompers). I belted it here to cinch it in at the waistline and make it more of an outfit but you could easily throw this on over a swimsuit as well.



This second one is this white tunic. Looks really basic on the hangar but there is so much you can do with it. Switch up the belts, wear a colored slip underneath instead of white (red is great underneath) or dress it up with jewelry. I would definitely wear this with a skinny jean or legging but depending on your height - you really could wear it without anything. I paired it with a bright blue scarf and Scarlet Garnet necklace.




This third outfit is this casual blue dress with lace detail. The color is great and the collar gives it just enough sophistication.

I paired the blue tank top with a silver pendant necklace that has a red stone and a 3 coin wrap bracelet.




This coral/ red tunic top is beautiful and the best part is the back. It has 2 layers that cascade in front but in the back it is gathered towards the top that gives it even more layering. I love it with white skinny jeans but you could definitely do a regular wash jean as well.

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit 6.20.11!!

Our “Monday Must Have” outfit this week is this fabulous nude colored maxi! It may be intimidating at first, but just wait until you try it on… this dress will transform you into a goddess no matter the occasion!!



This dress has a flowy three-tier ruffle effect with a tighter nude lining underneath. The lining falls a little bit shorter than the sheer nude material that the ruffles are made of. This style may look familiar because we had the shorter version about a month ago and it literally FLEW out of the store! The flowy ruffle style with the tighter lining underneath is surprisingly flattering on EVERY body type!

Many people have been hesitant with the maxi’s and think they are only made for taller women. However, I think maxis give all of us who are not vertically blessed the perfect opportunity to wear sky-high wedges without anyone knowing! Maxi’s are also great because they are so comfortable, you look dressed up without feeling like it. This particular maxi is a little bit on the dressier side, but depending on what you pair with it, it most defiantly could be dressed down as well.

Since this particular maxi is dressier to start with there are more options to dress this one up. HOWEVER, with a cute little jacket (denim would be cute) or scarf this dress is instantly dressed down from looking like a formal dress to something more suitable for a dinner date or night out on the town! Or throw on a long necklace and this dress has an instant bohemian vibe and looks ready for your next beach vacation! When dressing this maxi up there are options as well. When paired with the white beaded jacket this simple nude maxi is suddenly black tie ready! When paired with the tan or white jacket this maxi looks appropriate for a wedding.

Shown below are more casusal ways to wear this maxi first with just a simple scarf and then shown with just a simple longer necklace.




Shown below are dressier ways to wear this nude maxi. We first paired the maxi with this to die for white cutout jacket. Together these two make a fabulous combo.



We next paired the maxi with a longer necklace and a tan jacket. This would be a perfect way to wear the maxi if the weather is a little cooler.

For the grand finale and the dressiest way to wear this maxi we paired it with a white beaded jacket.

Do not be intimidated by the length of the dress, we like to think the maxi is the new mini ☺! Dress it up or dress it down… however you wear it you will without a doubt fall in love with this lightweight flowy fabric!

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit! 6.13.11

Our "Monday Must Have" outfit this week is this adorable coral colored tunic! The best part is the back!!





It ties at the waist and has a cowl neck and pockets in front. I like it worn very casual during the day but you could definitely dress it up for night if you wanted! Perfect for the beach as a swimsuit cover up as well. I have the medium on here and I am usually a size 6.

This tunic is a perfect time to address 2 questions that we get asked constantly in the store when we have a tunic and an open back. We get asked often what a tunic really means and how to wear them. A tunic to us means it is worn as a top on some people or as a dress on others (this is not the dictionary definition :) ) OR you can wear it both ways as long as your comfortable with that. I like wearing this as a dress during the day but would probably add some leggings or skinny jeans for night. The second question we get asked quite a bit is regarding items that have an open back - how do you wear a bra with these pieces?? The best way to do it is to wear the pads that just stick on in the front. I know, I know, I hate these as well but if you really want the full open back effect, thats they way to do it. HOWEVER, we also really like the idea of using the bandeau to cover your bra strap in the back - that way you can wear a bra and still show some skin in the back!!

The pictures below show the tunic with a white lace bandeau (wear the lace part in the back to cover your bra strap and show some of the lace) and our wide leg white linen pants. I actually like the idea of a skinny white pant instead of wide leg but at least you can see here what it looks like with white.







Another way to do wear it is with black leggings and a black bandeau. You could even go with the lace black bandeau and show some of the lace in the front.








There are TONS of different ways to wear this one tunic which is why we made it our "Monday Must Have" this week. I also added this simple and colorful necklace with it. WHen I am wearing something during the day - I like something just very simple to wear with it. For night, I would add a bit more to dress it up!

Our "Monday Must Have" outfits ON SALE!!!! 6.6.11

It is SUMMER!!! And that means that we have many items from Spring that our now ON SALE. The great thing about a Spring Sale is that everything can pretty much be worn all throughout the summer...it is an end of the season sale but everything is for warmer weather!!

The first picture is one of our first maxi dresses that came in. I just got back from market again this past week and the maxis are still all over. We have found that they are hard for a lot of people to wear...usually because the length is a hard fit. But what if it is on sale now?? Take the money you are saving and get it altered to fit perfectly! This one below is 20% off the original price. It is a dressier one to be worn to a wedding or an event. Beautiful.
