It ties at the waist and has a cowl neck and pockets in front. I like it worn very casual during the day but you could definitely dress it up for night if you wanted! Perfect for the beach as a swimsuit cover up as well. I have the medium on here and I am usually a size 6.
This tunic is a perfect time to address 2 questions that we get asked constantly in the store when we have a tunic and an open back. We get asked often what a tunic really means and how to wear them. A tunic to us means it is worn as a top on some people or as a dress on others (this is not the dictionary definition :) ) OR you can wear it both ways as long as your comfortable with that. I like wearing this as a dress during the day but would probably add some leggings or skinny jeans for night. The second question we get asked quite a bit is regarding items that have an open back - how do you wear a bra with these pieces?? The best way to do it is to wear the pads that just stick on in the front. I know, I know, I hate these as well but if you really want the full open back effect, thats they way to do it. HOWEVER, we also really like the idea of using the bandeau to cover your bra strap in the back - that way you can wear a bra and still show some skin in the back!!
The pictures below show the tunic with a white lace bandeau (wear the lace part in the back to cover your bra strap and show some of the lace) and our wide leg white linen pants. I actually like the idea of a skinny white pant instead of wide leg but at least you can see here what it looks like with white.
Another way to do wear it is with black leggings and a black bandeau. You could even go with the lace black bandeau and show some of the lace in the front.
There are TONS of different ways to wear this one tunic which is why we made it our "Monday Must Have" this week. I also added this simple and colorful necklace with it. WHen I am wearing something during the day - I like something just very simple to wear with it. For night, I would add a bit more to dress it up!
